Beat the game on any difficulty to unlock Dante's first costume, and beat it on Dante Must Die Mode to Defeat all enemies in Devil Trigger Mode to unlock all doors. Use the Sparda Sword in order to gain the upper edge. When you reach the start of the Underworld level, ride the elevator back to the fake Cathedral. Run back to the long hallway from the start of the game and run toward to room with the airplane.

Actually you just push the analog stick in any direction after pressing /\ 1, 2 or 3 times before pressing it again. If you hold the analog stick before the first press, it also changes what the first attack is, Dante slices horizontally and Lucia does a forward kick to slash. Being DT'd also changes what the combos look like.
